چکیده
Herein, we report the use of a graphene-based nanomaterial for the design of hybrid nanofi brous scaffolds to guide NSC differentiation into oligodendrocytes ( Figure 1 ). Graphene-based nanomaterials, such as graphene oxide (GO), have recently gained considerable interest for tissue engineering applications due to their favorable chemical, electrical and mechanical properties. [ 9 ] Besides serving as a highly elastic and fl exible structural reinforcement, substrates coated with GO have been demonstrated to promote the growth and differentiation of various stem cell lines, including induced PSCs, MSCs and NSCs. Guiding Stem Cell Differentiation into Oligodendrocytes Using Graphene-Nanofiber Scaffolds
Damage to the central nervous system (CNS) from degenerative diseases or traumatic injuries is particularly devastating due the limited regenerative capabilities of the CNS. Among the current approaches, stem cell-based regenerative medicine has shown great promise in achieving significant functional recovery by taking advantage of the self-renewal and differentiation capabilities of stem cells...
متن کاملThe Role of Biodegradable Engineered Nanofiber Scaffolds Seeded with Hair Follicle Stem Cells for Tissue Engineering
Background: The aim of this study was to fabricate the poly caprolactone (PCL) aligned nanofiber scaffold and to evaluate the survival, adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation of rat hair follicle stem cells (HFSC) in the graft material using electrospun PCL nanofiber scaffold for tissue engineering applications. Methods: The bulge region of rat whisker was isolated and cultured in DMEM: n...
متن کاملEnhanced Adipose Mesenchymal Stem Cells Proliferation by Carboxymethyl-Chitosan Functionalized Polycaprolactone Nanofiber
Background: Through combining two synthetic and natural polymers, scaffolds can be developed for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine purposes. Methods: In this work, carboxymethyl chitosan (CMC; 20%) was grafted to Polycaprolactone (PCL) nanofibers using the cold atmospheric plasma of helium. The PCL scaffolds were exposed to CAP, and functional groups were developed on the PCL surface...

Objective(s): In this study, the effect of electrospun fiber orientation on proliferation and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) was evaluated. Materials and Methods: Aligned and random nanocomposite nanofibrous scaffolds were electrospun from polylactic acid (PLA), poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and calcium carbonate nanoparticles (nCaP). The surface morphology of prepared nanofibrou...
